Cambridge Pianoforte was started in the University City of Cambridge in 1975 by Simon Howe. For over 45 Years the aims and objectives of the firm are exactly the same today as they were then, to provide first class service to pianists both amateur and professional. Over the years we have actively supported countless concerts, musical festivals, recordings and other music events, many with international artists such as Radu Lupu, Mitsuko Uchida, Barry Douglas, Joanna Macgregor and many more. We are the longest service agents for both Steinway & Sons (1987) and Kawai (1985) in the UK. Also, suppliers of Schimmel, Boston, Essex pianos and a range of ever changing previously owned and restored instruments. Our team are responsible for the preparation and tuning of the instruments in the main concert venues in and around the Cambridge area.
